# Most expensive and cheapest places in East of England to rent a one-bedroom home (September 2026)

Three Rivers was the most expensive of East of England’s 45 councils in September 2026 (one-bedroom private rent £1,275).

Great Yarmouth was the cheapest (£590). The middle council, Southend-on-Sea, had £884.
