# Private renting: highest and lowest councils in East Midlands (2021)

Leicester had the highest share of households renting privately of East Midlands’s 35 councils in 2021, at 29.4%.

North East Derbyshire had the lowest, at 10.0%. The middle council, Erewash, had 16.8%.
