# Male life expectancy: highest and lowest councils in North East (2022 to 2024)

Northumberland had the highest male life expectancy of North East’s 12 councils in 2022 to 2024, at 79.1 years.

Middlesbrough had the lowest, at 75.5 years. The middle council, Newcastle upon Tyne, had 77.5 years.
