# Mixed ethnic group share: highest and lowest councils in North East (2021)

Newcastle upon Tyne had the highest share of residents in Mixed or Multiple ethnic groups of North East’s 12 councils in 2021, at 2.3%.

Hartlepool had the lowest, at 0.7%. The middle council, Stockton-on-Tees, had 1.4%.
