# Share aged under 15: highest and lowest councils in North East (2021)

Middlesbrough had the highest share of residents aged under 15 of North East’s 12 councils in 2021, at 19.6%.

Northumberland had the lowest, at 15.1%. The middle council, North Tyneside, had 16.8%.
