# Share aged 15 to 64: highest and lowest councils in North East (2021)

Newcastle upon Tyne had the highest share of residents aged 15 to 64 of North East’s 12 councils in 2021, at 68.9%.

Northumberland had the lowest, at 59.5%. The middle council, North Tyneside, had 62.7%.
